Looking for ways to keep the kids entertained this May half term? From creative workshops and interactive gallery experiences to book-themed events and hands-on activities, London is packed with family-friendly adventures to enjoy.

This half term, discover the Roden Centre at The National Gallery, a welcoming space designed for families and carers to explore, create, and play together.

Dress up, build, draw, and enjoy hands-on art activities inspired by famous masterpieces. Don't miss the free family workshops inspired by the Zurbarán exhibition, the interactive Decoding Pictures family tour, and the immersive creative space exploring light and shadow.

Need a break? The Social Space offers a cosy family lunchroom and quiet area, open daily from 10am–6pm.

There’s plenty for young readers to enjoy at Waterstones Piccadilly, from comic-book fun and imaginative quizzes to hands-on creative workshops. With storytelling, crafts and exciting activities inspired by beloved characters and worlds, there’s something to spark every child’s imagination.
