The Tusk Lion Trail

This morning on World Lion Day a pride of lions descended on Piccadilly Circus to mark the launch of the Tusk Lion Trail, created and curated by the Tusk Trust and supported by Art of London.

Prowling through the heart of London, the pride of 27 life-sized lion sculptures takes you on a walking trail past some of the West End’s most iconic cultural landmarks.

The Tusk Lion Trail is a celebration of lions and the people who live alongside them, highlighting the threats currently faced by ‘the King of Beasts’, and is raising vital funds to support community conservation and livelihoods impacted by Covid-19 across Africa.

The London Pride includes a spectacular array of artworks from some of the world’s most prolific artists, musicians and comedians including Rolling Stones guitarist, Ronnie Wood, wildlife photographer, David Yarrow, artists Ian Davenport, Gavin Turk, David Mach, and actors John Cleese, Noel Fielding, Mathew Horne and Lee Mack.
