Coventry Street

Brighter Future - Location 2: Coventry Street

Coventry Street sits at the heart of London's West End.

The Location

Coventry Street sits at the heart of London's West End. Connecting two of London's busiest squares, Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square, Coventry Street is one of the city's liveliest streets. The perfect blend of historic and modern London, you'll find restaurants like TGI Fridays and Forrest-Gump-themed Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. amongst the street's many shops.

The Opportunity

There are eye bolts on 14 buildings down the street, from Kingdom of Sweets and Angus Steak House to Shake Shack and Money Exchange. These are used annually for Christmas lights and provide an exciting opportunity to display your Brighter Future vision prominently above the busy street either in isolation or as part of a trail alongside the nearby streets. This could take the form of canvases, lighting, lanterns or lightweight sculpts. All pieces will be subject to weight restrictions and wind calculations, so please consider this in your designs - no heavy sculptures! Structural engineers and experts will be consulted in the Ideas Lab and beyond so no need to go into that level of detail yet.
