This tour celebrates the famous operatic duo, Gilbert & Sullivan, and their operettas. It is part of the Inside Out Festival organised by Westminster City Council. Best of all, it's completely free!

The ENO's Gilbert & Sullivan Walking Tour has been put together by John Savournin, a well-known Gilbert & Sullivan singer, actor, and director. During the tour, you will explore Westminster while enjoying music performed by the talented ENO Chorus and Orchestra. Along the way, you'll be treated to live performances by beloved characters from Gilbert & Sullivan's operas.

The journey begins outside the historic Savoy Theatre, which served as the home for Gilbert & Sullivan's comic operas in the 19th century. As you stroll through the city, you'll be provided with headsets to enjoy the music and insightful commentary. Along the way, you'll discover fascinating stories about the operettas and the brilliant minds who created them.

The tour will end at the London Coliseum, the present-day home of the ENO, where many Gilbert & Sullivan productions continue to entertain audiences.

Whether you're new to opera or a fan of Gilbert & Sullivan, this walking tour promises a unique and enjoyable experience. Don't miss the chance to discover the magic of Victorian London and the wonderful world of Gilbert & Sullivan's operas.
