Art After Dark is here!
Art After Dark
A week-long celebration of art, music and community.
Head to Piccadilly Circus to see Lakwena Maciver’s Rise and Shine – a seven-metre-high tower of glowing disco lightboxes playing sounds of 80s and 90s hip-hop, funk, and soul. It’s a dazzling celebration of London’s nightlife and carnival spirit you won’t want to miss.
There’s still more to explore all week. Join Art After Dark’s headline artist Lakwena Maciver and Art of London’s Kirsty Tullett-Jones on Wednesday 4 February, for an inspiring talk at the Apple Store, Covent Garden, moderated by Kobi Prempeh of Fynn Studio.
On Thursday 5 February, explore the Art of London Gallery HOP! and guide yourself through a variety of independent and commercial galleries such as Cristea Roberts, Larkin Durey, and The Mayor Gallery, open until 8pm for one-night-only.
Later that evening, take the party indoors at the National Gallery’s Sainsbury Wing for PARTY After Dark. Dance to sets from @Bimini, @Karaba, and @Mia Lily as the gallery transforms into a late-night celebration of London’s creative community.
Explore iconic art institutions on Friday 6 February with Friday Lates, offering you the chance to experience world-renowned art, after hours in The National Gallery, Royal Academy of Arts and National Portrait Gallery.
Throughout the week-long programme of events, don’t miss your opportunity to dine at some of the West End's best eateries, offering exclusive discounts with specially curated music sessions inspired by the 80s and 90s also available, in celebration of Art After Dark.
Rise and Shine will remain in Piccadilly Circus for all to enjoy until Tuesday 10 February.
