Curator’s introduction: Marilyn Monroe: A Portrait
Talk
Join Rosie Broadley, Senior Curator of 20th Century Collections and curator of Marilyn Monroe: A Portrait, for an insider's guide to the exhibition, the work displayed and how it came to be, from the earliest ‘cheesecake’ pin-ups of Norma-Jeane to the most poignant final photographs of Marilyn in 1962.
This event forms part of a season of events, programmed in response to the Marilyn Monroe: A Portrait exhibition.
In celebration of the Hollywood star’s 100th birthday and in association with the Marilyn Monroe estate, Marilyn Monroe: A Portrait will explore the life, career and legacy of Marilyn Monroe through portraits created by some of the greatest photographers and artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.
