St James’s Motoring Spectacle 2024
What's on
The Royal Automobile Club is bringing an exciting new family-friendly motoring event to London.
Event Info
The St James's Motoring Spectacle, a free-to-attend experience, will take place on Saturday 2 November.
Following the success of the Regent Street Motor Show and St James's International Concours, this new event will be a highlight of London Motor Week, just before the famous RM Sotheby’s London to Brighton Veteran Car Run. For one day, Pall Mall in St James's will be transformed into a motoring spectacle, with the street closed to traffic to make way for the festivities.
The event promises to be a unique celebration of cars past, present, and future, with five zones dedicated to different aspects of motoring. Visitors can expect to see everything from pre-1905 vintage vehicles geared up for the Veteran Car Run to cutting-edge supercars showcasing the latest in sustainable technology. Highlights will include displays on the history of motoring, featuring electric vehicle innovations and sustainable fuels, along with a spotlight on iconic car brands like Renault and Volkswagen.
Local businesses will join in the festivities, with special exhibits such as a motorsport-themed art show at the Iconic Images Gallery on Waterloo Place.
The St James's Motoring Spectacle will also tie in with the theme of this year's Veteran Car Run, celebrating the 120th anniversary of the Ladies’ Automobile Club.
