Date & Time

October 06 - October 25

Location

Coventry Street, London, UK

Venture to Coventry St and step inside the first installation on the Step Into the French Riviera trail, inspired by the work of French artist Yves Klein (1928–1962).

Klein is renowned for his distinctive International Klein Blue, a vivid ultramarine that became one of the defining artistic signatures of the twentieth century. His fascination with the colour was deeply connected to the French Riviera, where he grew up surrounded by the intense, unclouded blue of the Mediterranean sea and sky.

Inspired by ANT 84 (1960), this immersive installation brings Klein’s extraordinary use of colour to the streets of London, inviting you to experience a little of the Riviera through one of art history’s most recognisable shades.
