The story follows two young Mormon missionaries, Elder Price and Elder Cunningham, who are sent to a village in Uganda. Elder Price is the ambitious and handsome one, while Elder Cunningham is somewhat awkward, but full of enthusiasm. They both face challenges they didn’t expect, as they encounter real issues like war, famine, and disease in the village.
As Elder Price’s confidence starts to waver, he struggles with the gap between his beliefs and the harsh realities around him. Meanwhile, Elder Cunningham’s unique approach to the teachings of the Book of Mormon surprisingly leads to new friendships and success.

Prince of Wales Theatre, home to The Book of Mormon, is part of Delfont Mackintosh Theatre group which is owned by Sir Cameron Mackintosh and operates eight of the most prestigious theatres in London's West End. Designed by architect C. J. Phipps, in 1884 the theatre was initially known as Prince's Theatre.
