From its origins as a health drink from China, to a domestic treat for wealthy women, and then to the everyday ‘cuppa’ favoured by all. Time for Tea will delve into the fascinating history of tea, told through the portraits in the National Portrait Gallery Collection.
Enjoy a one-hour Gallery tour led by Senior Storyteller, Daniel Hausherr. Following the tour, you will be escorted to Larry’s Dining and Bar for a traditional cream tea and tea of your choice. Including freshly baked scones (plain & raisin), house raspberry conserve and Dorset clotted cream.
