Event Info

Date & Time

August 20 - August 31

Location

Piccadilly Circus, London, UK

Featuring winged sculptures inspired by Greek mythology, the installation draws directly from the figures of Eros and Anteros, who crown the fountain.

This mythological connection beautifully ties into the theme, celebrating the timeless stories of love and retribution.

From 20 to 31 August 2024, catch ‘Good Things Come To Those Who Wait’ a spectacular installation that brings new life to the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain for the first time in 132 years. The public artwork features winged sculptures inspired by Greek mythology, specifically Anteros, the god of requited love who famously crowns the fountain.

The installation features two stunning 23-foot-tall Pegasus figures, perched on bright orange and yellow plinths with inspiring messages. Ilori’s vibrant, joyful style gives the familiar Anteros statue a fresh, uplifting twist.

Whether you’re catching up with friends, enjoying a summer date, or exploring solo, this vibrant display is a must-see.

Bring the whole family—free colouring sheets with the artwork are available online and at the artwork . Plus, Young Ambassadors from the Greater London Authority’s youth program will be around to share local history and uncover hidden gems in the area.
