Image: Fortnum & Mason

Fortnum & Mason's florals and botanicals

One of the few places in the West End that boasts an extensive selection of floral bouquets. During the Victorian era, one of the many eras that Fortnum's has stood through, the role of flowers became a style of communication. Floriography, the art of communicating secret emotions, declarations or even rebuffs at a time where speaking those feelings aloud may have been seen as improper. Thankfully today, we are free to speak more openly - but exploring the language of flowers could add a new dimension to your floral bouquet!

Fortnum's also boasts florals in many other forms, from floral home decor or silken scarves, to their famed floral infusion teas, bespoke biscuits or for something a little stronger, Fortnum & Mason's botanicals - in the form of gin or rum.
