BSL Tour: The Art of London Gallery HOP!
Art After Dark
Join us for an exclusive British Sign Language (BSL) tour during the Art of London Gallery HOP! on Thursday 6 March and Saturday 8 March.
Led by experienced art guide Martin Glover, this tour will be delivered entirely in BSL and is designed exclusively for deaf and profoundly deaf individuals who communicate in BSL.
This unique tour will take participants on a journey through St James’s independent galleries, showcasing a diverse range of art, from Old Masters to contemporary works.
As part of the “An Insider’s Look At…” series, this tour will explore the ecology of the art world, highlighting the different types of galleries and their business models. From mega dealers and scholarly galleries to first-floor spaces, second-hand dealers, and gallery shops, each stop on the tour will offer a fascinating insight into the world of art. At every gallery, Martin Glover will provide an introduction to the space and its exhibitions in BSL.
The Art of London Gallery HOP! is part of Art After Dark, a three-day programme running from 6 to 8 March 2025, which will see London’s West End transformed with a free cosmic art takeover by acclaimed artist Nelly Ben Hayoun-Stépanian. This spectacular event will unite international space agencies, astronomers, and musicians to create an unforgettable experience.
Taking place over three days, Art After Dark will begin on Thursday 6 March with the Art of London Gallery HOP!. On Friday 7 March, visitors can enjoy Friday Lates, where some of the West End’s major art institutions will remain open until 9PM. The event will conclude on Saturday 8 March, offering a final opportunity to experience the public art commission before it disappears.
