Based on Victor Hugo’s timeless novel, Les Misérables brings to life the epic story of Jean Valjean, a man struggling for redemption amidst the social and political upheaval of 19th century France.

From the peaceful French countryside to the dark sewers of Paris, the musical explores themes of justice, love, and sacrifice through unforgettable characters and powerful songs.

In this dramatic tale, former prisoner Jean Valjean is relentlessly pursued by Inspector Javert, setting the stage for a gripping cat-and-mouse game that unfolds against the backdrop of a nation on the brink of revolution. Along the way, the story dives into themes of broken dreams, passionate love, and the unbreakable human spirit.

Les Misérables began as a French-language concept album in 1983, but it was Cameron Mackintosh’s collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Company that adapted it into the British stage production we know and love. Opening at the Barbican Centre in 1985, the show quickly moved to the West End and later to Broadway, where it set new records and captured the hearts of audiences around the world.

Featuring a dramatic score with classic songs like “On My Own,” “One Day More,” “Do You Hear the People Sing?,” and the heart-wrenching “I Dreamed a Dream,” which has been covered by artists from Katherine Jenkins to Susan Boyle, this musical is a testament to Victor Hugo’s powerful storytelling.

Les Misérables continues to be a spectacular and emotional experience for audiences night after night.
