Good Things Come To Those Who Wait

This summer, British-Nigerian artist Yinka Ilori MBE brings Greek mythology to Piccadilly Circus. From 20 to 25 August, experience ‘Good Things Come To Those Who Wait.’ For the first time in 132 years, the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain will feature two towering 23-foot Pegasus figures on colourful plinths, sharing messages of inspiration.

Whether you're out for dinner, on a summer date, or taking a solo stroll, this striking display offers a perfect moment for reflection and inspiration.

Hadestown

No trip to London is complete without a theatre show, and Hadestown is a must-see! This acclaimed Broadway musical, now at the Lyric Theatre, reimagines Greek myths with a fresh twist.

Follow Orpheus and Eurydice on their journey to the underworld, and witness the powerful King Hades and his wife Persephone. With its emotional depth and hopeful themes, this musical offers an unforgettable musical experience.

Royal Academy of Arts

Visit the Royal Academy of Arts and be awed by the ‘Cast of Laocoön and His Sons’. This early 1st-century AD plaster replica of the famous ancient sculpture, discovered in Rome in 1506, depicts the Trojan priest Laocoön and his sons being attacked by sea serpents.

Admired since its discovery and once displayed in the Villa Belvedere, this replica from the Prince Regent era is a fascinating piece of classical art with a rich history and inspired by stories from ancient Greece.
