The National Portrait Gallery hosted Art of London Presents: Take A Moment 2023 at their brand-new 'Spotlight Space.'
This powerful photography display featured members of the public and hundreds of famous faces with their eyes-closed for mental health.
The National Portrait Gallery's Spotlight Space showcased 200 famous faces with their eyes closed and ran for one month, opening on 14th September and concluding on World Mental Health Day (10th October.)
Captured by photographic artist Ray Burmiston, West End visitors discovered never-seen-before portraits of talent including Ronan Keating, Ricky Gervais, Olivia Attwood, Denise Van Outen, Rob Beckett & Josh Widdecombe, Kano, Heather Small and Fred Sirieix.
Inspiring visitors to take a moment for their mental health, visitors were able to submit a selfie with their eyes closed for a chance to be featured alongside their favourite stars on the Piccadilly Lights, for the finale screening on World Mental Health Day (10th October).
The Spotlight Space at the National Portrait Gallery featured the poignant display from Thursday 14th September until Sunday 15th October. Submissions to feature on the lights and in the galleries closed on 25th September.
Amplifying mental health awareness across the West End, the Piccadilly Lights screened Take A Moment’s new portraits each week throughout September, culminating shortly after World Mental Health Day.
