Piccadilly Un:Plugged: Schrödinger’s Cats
Art After Dark
Art After Dark is back this week, bringing a cosmic glow to the West End. As part of the free late-night programme, two towering UV-reactive ‘Cats’ will take over Leicester Square—Schrödinger’s Cats— inspired by the famous quantum paradox.
Schrödinger’s thought experiment suggests that a cat can be simultaneously both dead and alive, existing in a cloud of possibilities until observed.
This paradox, one of the most defining statements of modern physics, challenges our perception of reality—just like these glowing feline sculptures.
Designed by award-winning eco-feminist artist and experience designer Dr. Nelly Ben Hayoun-Stépanian—the visionary behind NASA’s International Space Orchestra—these surreal, inflatable creations blend art, science, and the unknown in a mesmerising spectacle.
Don’t miss your chance to witness this otherworldly takeover—it’s only here for a limited time!
